Using Cabo
These terms are an agreement between you and The Flutter Guy ("we", "us") about your use of the Cabo app and this website. By installing or using Cabo you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Cabo.
Cabo is a free-to-play game with live multiplayer card games and solo games. Need help? See our support page.
Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and allow you to use Cabo.
- You cannot use Cabo if you have been banned from it, or if the law of your country forbids it.
Your account
- You sign in with Google or Apple. You may verify a phone number, which you need for voucher redemption. Keep access to your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You get one account. Do not create extra accounts to get bonuses again, to get around a ban, or to play against yourself.
- Give us true information. Do not pretend to be someone else. Pick a username that is not offensive, does not impersonate anyone and does not contain personal information.
- Accounts are personal. Do not sell, trade, lend or transfer your account or anything in it.
Fair play and conduct
Do not:
- use bots, scripts, macros, modified apps, emulators set up to cheat, or any tool that plays or tracks the game for you;
- collude with other players, share hidden cards, play several accounts at one table, or throw games to move coins or rankings;
- exploit a bug, glitch or loophole. Report it to us instead;
- attack, probe, overload or reverse engineer the app or our servers, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against others, or send spam, scams, adult content, or anything illegal;
- abuse referrals, spins, quests or ads to earn rewards unfairly.
We may check for cheating and abuse using game logs and analytics.
Game results and coin pools
Our game server is the final authority on every game. Results, scores, coin pools, rankings, timers and rewards shown on our server are final, even if your screen shows something else because of a connection issue or an app fault.
In short: in a live Cabo game each player pays an entry cost in coins, which builds a pool. The lowest hand takes the pool. Winners split it equally. If the Cabo caller is among tied lowest hands, the caller wins. If everyone else leaves, the last player at the table takes the pool. The full rules are on how to play. Bots may fill empty seats in some rooms. If you leave a game early, you may lose your entry.
Coins, gems and items
- Coins and gems are virtual items that exist only inside Cabo. You earn them by playing, finishing quests, daily spins, referrals, sign-up bonuses and watching rewarded ads. You cannot buy them with money.
- They have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to another person or account, except through features the app itself offers.
- Shop items, such as avatars, badges, card themes, pets, walls, XP boosts and shields, are a licence to use them inside Cabo. You do not own them. Some items expire. Boosts and shields stop working when their time runs out.
- We may change prices, rewards, odds, items and room costs at any time, and balance the economy. We may fix or reverse balances created by errors or cheating.
- If your account ends, your coins, gems and items are lost, as explained below.
Not a real-money game
Cabo is a memory card game played for entertainment. You cannot deposit money, you cannot pay money to enter a game, and you cannot withdraw money. We do not offer betting, wagering or gambling. Do not use Cabo to run any of those yourself.
Vouchers and rewards
- Where the app offers it, you can use gems to ask for a gift voucher from a third-party brand. The brands are not connected with Cabo and do not sponsor it. Their names are used only to describe the voucher.
- Every request is reviewed by us. We may approve, delay or reject it, for example for suspected fraud, cheating, multiple accounts, wrong details, or when a voucher is out of stock. If we reject a request, we usually give the gems back.
- You need a verified phone number. We may contact you to deliver the voucher or to check your request.
- Vouchers are subject to the brand's own terms, expiry and fees. We are not responsible for what the brand does after delivery.
- Vouchers, rewards and the redemption list can be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time. Rewards are a promotional thank-you for playing, not payment for gameplay. You may be responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive.
- Tournaments are not live yet. If we launch them, separate rules will apply.
Refunds
Coins and gems are not bought with money, so there are no money refunds. If a game fails because of a fault on our side, such as a crash, a frozen table, or a game that does not start, we refund the entry in the same currency, including to players who left. If a game ends normally, there is no refund, and winners only are paid. To report a fault, email us with your username and the time of the game. We decide whether a fault was ours.
Ads and rewarded ads
Cabo is supported by ads shown by third parties. We do not control the ads and are not responsible for advertisers' products or sites. Watching a rewarded ad is optional. A reward is paid after the ad finishes and may be limited per day. If an ad fails to load or finish, we may not pay the reward. How ads use your data is in our privacy policy.
Chat and your content
- You are responsible for what you send in chats, invites, stickers, usernames and profile photos ("your content"). Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, sexual, threatening or private about other people.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us a free, worldwide licence to host, show and process it to run the game and the chat.
- You can block a player from their profile and report a player or message from a chat. We review reports and can remove content, mute, suspend or ban accounts. We do not read private chats on a routine basis, but we may when there is a report or a safety or legal reason.
- Chat messages are deleted automatically after a short time. Do not rely on chat as a record.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them freely, without payment or credit.
Our content and third-party marks
The Cabo name, logo, app, game design, artwork, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, sell, modify, decompile or build on it, or scrape our servers.
Other brands and names, such as voucher brands or themes inspired by films, sport or comics, belong to their owners. They are used only to describe things in the app and do not mean any endorsement.
Suspension and ending your account
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account. We may warn, limit, suspend or close your account, remove content, and cancel rewards, if you break these terms, cheat, put others at risk, or if the law requires. We will tell you why when we reasonably can. If you reply to us, we will consider it.
When an account ends, you lose its coins, gems, items, streaks, stats and any unredeemed rewards. We do not pay for them. We may also stop or change the app, or any part of it, at any time.
Disclaimers and liability
Cabo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always work, be error-free, be free of cheats, or keep your data forever. Servers go down, networks fail and games can break. We try to fix problems, but we make no guarantee, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of virtual items, loss of profit or data, or for the acts of other players and third parties. Our total liability to you for any claim about Cabo is limited to the greater of INR 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (which for a free game is usually nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Indemnity and force majeure
You will cover us for losses, claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breach of these terms, your content, or your breaking the law, to the extent the law allows.
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes, power or internet failures, attacks on our systems, or failure of cloud, store or ad providers.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and us only. Apple Inc. and Google LLC (and their subsidiaries) are not parties to these terms and have no duty to give support or maintenance for Cabo. They are not responsible for claims about the app, such as product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the app you got from their store, and can enforce them against you. Your use must also follow the Apple Media Services terms or the Google Play terms, whichever applies.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of India. If you have a problem, email us first at cabocardgame@gmail.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it informally. If we cannot, the competent courts in India at the place where The Flutter Guy is based have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts.
Changes and general terms
- Changes: we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For big changes we will tell you in the app. Using Cabo after a change means you accept it.
- Severability: if part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver: if we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
- Entire agreement: these terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Cabo.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights. We may transfer ours, for example if we sell the app.
- Notices: we may notify you in the app, by push notification, by email, or on this website. You can notify us at the email below.
